A note from Brad.
I’ve spent 20+ years in the mortgage industry watching search behavior change. I started CiteWP after watching my own search habits change. I stopped clicking through to websites and started reading AI summaries from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and Microsoft— and I knew most content creators weren’t ready for what that meant. I wanted to build a plugin for content managers, marketing leads, and WordPress developers at small businesses who want to be cited by AI — not just ranked by Google.
WordPress powers 43% of the web. Most of those sites have spent years optimizing for Google and Microsoft Edge. Almost none of them are optimized for AI search. CiteWP is my attempt to fix that, one plugin at a time.
